Dad's Back!

Dad was gone for what seemed like a really, really long time! Mom and the rest of us surprised him with Dallas Cowboy tickets at their new stadium for his birthday! Dad got to see that HUGE new stadium and he said it was WAY cooler in person! On the day we picked him up at the airport we drove straight to the zoo to spend time with him!

Here's sissy and Moo petting something that is just about as wild as they are!

WHOO's there? It's me - Noah Boy! This wasn't a real owl... I wish it was!

In the new kids area of the zoo - they had real live peacocks walking around everywhere!

And way cool tractors to ride on! Mom and sissy liked the red one the best.

Dad was giving Matty Moo his first driving lesson!

They even have a new Little People playground that we stopped to check out... Matty Moo is the cautious one of the twinkies.... He checks stuff out carefully before going wild.

NOT sissy - mom barely set her free from her stroller and she was up and on her way down the slide tower! You have to keep an eye on her!
I decided to try out my cow riding skills... this guy was pretty tame and easy to ride.

After all that playing - we HAD to take a cheese it break....

And a time out to be silly.... We were so happy to have our dad back that we were ALL smiles.

On our way to the Tigers.... we ran into this little fellow who looked very hungry! So we gave him some of dad's kettle corn... He stuffed it into his cheeks before running off... mom said Jack's mom can do the same thing AND still talk like she doesn't have any food in her mouth! I need her to teach me that - then I wouldn't get in trouble anymore for talking with my mouth full.

As we were leaving - dad pointed up to this mountain and said - "This is where we always see Big Horned Sheep"... and then mom said - "Whatever - Gram and Dad always say that but I have NEVER seen one..." and just then... this is what we saw.

New Fashion

Matty Moo has discovered his OWN fashion statement.... yup, you are seeing right - cowboy boots and footed sleepers! Matty Moo loves his boots so much sometimes mom has to fight him to get them off to go to bed!
Here he is trying to bust out of the playroom... He was so cute mom actually gave in and took us for a drive! We like to go to the skate park and watch the big kids shred on the ramps! Someday I want to jump a skateboard just like they do!

Oh no! Like any crazy fashion phase.... it's caught on! I sure hope they grow out of this before we all go to school together - I may have to change my name.

Getting Ready for a Kathy Cole Photo Shoot!!!

CHEESEEEEEE! Yup - we are getting SOOOOOO excited to have family photos taken next weekend! There is nothing that excites mom more than pictures... and when they are by Kathy Cole... well, let's just say we are going to take advantage of her good mood!

We've all been practicing our most natural looking smiles... can't you tell?

Matt Moo is all grins and giggles when he sees a camera! Let's hope he is as spunky and cute when it's show time.

Sissy is not so sure about smiling... well, she smiles LOTS, it's sitting still for the camera that is super hard for her! And, we need to remember to NOT bring any snacks... who wants to see food?

Today Addie and I got to go visit Miss Summer to get our haircut! Mom cuts Moo's hair at home - so the two oldest got to get salon cuts! That's just life as the oldest ones...

Here's Missy Mae's new look... she got a sassy bob to match her spunky style! Mom was worried that she was going to move so much that she wouldn't be able to get a cut... but the Dum Dum and Miss Summer's ninja moves made it happen!

Here's the back of her hair... and check out the leg warmers Miss Summer made for sissy! Can you believe she cuts hair AND makes cool stuff? You can check out her stuff at www.girlygirlzbowtique.blogspot.com

Sissy is already stressing about what shoes to wear for the photo shoot... I hate to tell her that when it is something as serious as a Kathy Cole session... mom would NEVER let her dress herself!

She's pretty set on this particular pair of pink sandals but when she finds out mom is going to let her wear her boots she is going to be sooooooo excited! Check back soon for a sneak peak or check out Kathy's blog at www.kathycolephotography.blogspot.com

Big Kid Beds!

Yup! You read that right - the twinkies are now in BIG KID BEDS just like me! Matty Moo wasn't too sure about the beds on the floor... he cried and said, "Where's my crib?" Sissy wasn't phased at all - she just jumped in bed and smiled! Matty Moo needed some coaxing... I even let him use my rat for the day!

Ummmm.... this ISN'T looking very promising! Matty Moo you are supposed to be going INTO bed not out of it...

There you go Moo - that's right - get in bed... now lay down!

Mom let me camp outside their room in the hall with her and watch the babies on their video monitor.... About 20 minutes into the first day - mom snuck in and got a picture of Sissy sleeping in her bed! She never even got out once!

About 40 minutes into the first day - mom snuck in to get a pic of Matty Moo on his bed ASLEEP.... she had to go in MANY times to remind him that he needed to go to bed and STAY there.... Dad was out of town at the Dallas Cowboys game and mom really wanted to get them all settled in their bed before he got home.... I was starting to wonder if that was going to happen!

Oh No! Looks like night #1 isn't starting off to a good start - Matty Moo - this is Sissy's bed... not yours!

There you go Matty Moo - this is YOUR bed! Mom read books and then laid down the law... you can talk and sing but you CAN NOT GET OUT OF BED!

Sissy was super excited - mom had a surprise for their first night in new beds! She painted glow in the dark stars above their beds... Matt has the Big Dipper and the Milky Way.... Sissy has a star made out of starts, some shooting stars (cuz she is a ball of fire like a shooting start) and the letter A made out of stars... sissy loves her letters!

After 7 minutes of singing songs and counting back and forth - it got VERY quiet... so mom snuck in and this is what she saw.... a sleeping sissy! AND...

A sleeping Moo! She was too afraid to move him - so he slept like this ALL night. Mom was shocked at how well they transitioned to BIG KID BEDS... day two and three were much the same. Keep checking back to see their new beds that will be in coming in about a week! AND... mom's friend is hand painting Thing1 and Thing 2 signs to hang over their beds!

Brotherly Love

Matty Moo could sense me coming... He was super afraid I was going to swipe the cars he was playing with... but I had something else in mind!

HUGS!

Lots and lots of . . . HUGS!

Looks like Moo got into the spirit himself - instead of bites...
he doled out the smooches!

Fall is FINALLY Here...

The weather is finally getting a little cooler so we have been on the move and outside a lot more! Here are the three of us at the Wildlife Zoo... it is one of our favorite places to go! As members we can go as often as we like!

Can you guess what I am looking at?

Yup flamingos! I love to stand just like they do - but - I don't think I am going to eat so much shrimp that my skin turns pink!

This turtle was a lot faster than I thought turtles were supposed to be! He was fun to watch!

Leaving is always hard... but knowing we can come back anytime makes it a little easier.

Belated Celebrations!

The Egglets don't mind celebrating their birthdays ... no matter what month of the year it is! Auntie Penny, Chris AND Julian came over for some birthday fun! Sissy LOVED to sit on Auntie Penny's lap... but she was quick to get away too.
Looks like Julian liked my shaved head so much that he followed! Can you believe that my mom used to watch these guys when they were really little like us?

Chris liked our cell phone as much as we did. Matty Moo would NOT leave Chris' side!

Every once in a while Auntie Penny would sneak in a hug from Matty Moo - but he would be RIGHT back in Chris' lap.

Chris was teasing Addie that she was stinky. She thought this was the BEST game.

Someday I hope I am as tall and as cool as these guys!

Annual Pumpkin Patch Trip

October's in FULL SWING which means it is time for our annual Pumpkin Patch outing! This year was a little different... it was 100 degrees by the time we left.... mom tried to dress us in Fall clothes to help get us in the mood - but we would have rather been in our swimsuits!

As soon as we got there - Addie looks scared and Matty Moo looked bored to tears... I remembered it from last year... and I knew it was going to be TONS of fun!

I didn't waste ANY time - I went straight to the pumpkins and picked one out before they were ALL gone...

This is our dad with our friend John.... They seemed to be enjoying watching us play in the corn pit! We finally found a way to get Dad in with us... we just refused to get out... he had to come in and catch us.

Sissy LOVED the corn pit... she wouldn't sit still for one second! I think her owls loved the corn too! Mom even found corn in her diaper later!

We loved this so much we want one in our backyard.... we'll have to work on dad A LOT more before that will happen.
Matty Moo loved to throw the corn EVERYWHERE!
When they finally got us out of the corn pit - Alaina took me on a train ride! Alaina is lots of fun cuz she is a lot older and can take me on cool things and I don't have to look like a baby and ride with my parents!

I had a ton of fun posing for fun pictures...
And riding bikes on the lawn....
Racing Dad on the bike course.... bouncing on the bounce house.... and the list goes on....
Wait a minute.... what has Matt and Addie looking so stressed?
Check it out - dad is shooting tomatoes at a target! It was a LOUD gun and was pretty cool!
Oh! So close dad - better luck next time....

There seems to be one theme to all fun places.... it always has to come to an end... I pulled my famous "limp body" move - but dad is WAY stronger than I am and just picked me up... he promised we could come back again next year.

Mom Tricked Me...

When it was time to take a nap today - I told mom that I didn't need a nap... I promised to play quietly and strangely - She caved... I should have known she was up to something! She wanted to play with some new things she learned with her camera AND her computer.... and YUP - you guesses it - I was lucky enough to be the model...

In case you forgot - I am 3 now... see... 3! It's kinda hard to make your hand stay like this - but I promise - I am 3!

It's football season which means our TV is ALWAYS playing some game or another.... we are a split house - Cardinals and Cowboys.... I think I still like cars better than football so far...

Mom even put me in this button down shirt... come on mom - where's my t-shirt? Dad and I are more t-shirt kinda guys!

I tried to make a field goal - but ended up landing on my tush - completely missing the ball... mom said she was glad she got to capture my little piggies....

As mom sounded desperate in her pleas to get me to look at the camera - I decided to give her one of my "how could you get frustrated with me?" looks... works EVERY time...

I was determined to get this shirt OFF... but mom made me keep it on. Button shirts don't come off over your head very easy - mom says this should be a mascara ad... what the heck is mascara?

Finally mom let me hang out with my dog! Yikes... get a load of her tongue - I totally can't do that.

Mom said Daisy sticks out her tongue to cool off... I tried it... and think it's overrated!

A Surprise for Dad...

Yup, a football themed surprise for dad! It's not quite his birthday yet...but we decided the best time to surprise him for his birthday is when it is a long, long, way off...

So, we decorated the house and threw a Monday Night Football party... which was Cowboys themed... The Cowboys are dad's favorite team ... Check out that cool frame I painted for him all by myself! Inside that frame was his REAL present... yup, TWO tickets to the Dallas game IN the new stadium! He was pretty excited....

Yup - we pulled it off - we surprised him and he had NO clue what we had planned! Mom has since removed ALL evidence that we ever had a Cowboys party in our house... this is Cardinal Country around here!

Aloha!

Our Nana just got back from a birthday trip to Hawaii! She taught us that Aloha means hello, goodbye, and I love you.... guess Hawaii's NOT an island of many words! No wonder why our dad loves it there so much! Nana brought us all back some Hawaiian outfits... Sissy can't seem to take hers off....

Here's our little Hawaiian girl playing ball with Daisy in our backyard....

And practicing her soccer skills... Cousin Merry - ever thought about coaching us someday?

She was having so much fun running around - we couldn't get her to come back in the house! We are all enjoying the cool 90 degree weather.... it's downright COLD out here!

When mom told her to dance the hula - she was a little confused...

But caught on quick - and now LOVES to dance the hula... I am sure our dad is going to be as happy about that as he is with the length of this shirt!

After all that dancing and running around - Sissy decided to calm down by coloring with me on my new chalk board... she's pretty good at the coloring too!

ALOHA~

Happy Birthday Matt & Addie

Mom, Dad and I did some decorating cuz the twins turned TWO!!! We drew on the windows and hung the signs and streamers... Mom and I baked cupcakes and wrapped the presents....

Addie and Moo Moo seemed a little confused.... "What's all the fuss about?"

"A party for me? And Sissy too?"

Sissy was excited - just another reason to dress up and dance!

Mom even got some flowers for her birthday that made the place even more festive!

mmmmmm... don't you wish you could sink your teeth into these? Homemade vanilla cupcakes with Swiss butter cream frosting.

There was a LOT of finger licking... sissy discovered that she is JUST like mom and really only likes the frosting!

Matty Moo was trying to be polite BUT soon enough he was devouring his cupcake.

It kinda stinks that mom, Matty and Addie all got presents cuz it was their birthday - but then again I am glad I don't have to share my birthday with them... I already have to share ALL my toys!

Even Bri was excited about the cupcakes... she may be OLD and in high school now - but she is still a kid a heart!

I helped out with the gifts... someone has to play referee... AND... I felt it was my big brother duty to test them out to make sure they were safe before giving them to the babies.

We wrapped up the day hanging out and playing. Matty Moo LOVES his cousin Bri! Poor Drew wasn't able to come and celebrate because he got sick... I talked to him on the phone and was relieved that he wasn't oinking... with all this talk about the swine flu I wanted to be sure he was OK... and he was - just a little cold! The only piggie in our family so far is little Matty Moo!
