Trees!

Today a really, really, really big truck pulled up in front of our house! Our trees ARE here!

It was fun to watch the men unload the trees. Then they loaded them on hand carts and took them around to our backyard.

I watched from inside as the men dug really deep holes.

They had to cut the boxes away from the trees and then place them in the deep holes.

OH NO! This one fell! Nope, they just needed to lay it down to line it up!

Checking to make sure it is straight!

Right before they left - we took them out some chocolate chip cookies to say thanks for a job well done. Look - I have TWO Christmas trees in my backyard now too!

And my playground looks complete with the two new trees on either side. This will be nice and shady someday.

Christmas Projects...

I LOVE to color! I guess I am just like my dad. He is really good at drawing and graphics. Sometimes my dad even draws me pictures of the things I love to color. Since I LOVE jets right now, he made some for me to color.

Mom says that washable markers are the BEST invention ever. How does all this color get all over me?

Every time we go see the jets - we always say "Be safe." when they take off and then we clap and say "Thank you!!!" when they land. One of mom's friends - Lisa - from Kate's cup sent her an address for injured soldiers. You can send Christmas cards to the address and the pass them out to soldiers who are recovering from the war. SO, we decided to color pictures of jets. On the bottom my mom wrote - "Thank you for keeping us safe! We pray for you often." It is pretty cool to send stuff to them. I wish I could meet a jet pilot someday!

It's tough work being an artist!

Proof Mom is Getting Old...

You know your mom is getting old when pictures of her kids remind her of movies and people we have never even heard of!

" So, take the old records off the shelf....." anyone for a little Risky Business?

Does Madonna come to mind? No, what about Cindi Lauper?

Just Hangin with My Bro.

Mom and Addie ran to the store - so it was just us guys. Sometimes I like to get in the octagon and play with my little bro! Dad actually caught all of these pics! This is how it starts. We are both just minding our own business.
Pretty soon - Matt starts to get wild and tries to attack me. I have to be careful with him because he is little but he isn't very careful with me!

I am like a sitting duck if I lay on the ground. Matt's favorite thing to do is roll all over me.

Shoot. He has me pinned. Matty Moo - GET OFF!

1...2...3... I Win! (Sometimes a guy has to let the little ones win!)

Thanksgiving at Nana & Papa's!

Hey! Well, finally I have caught up to Thanksgiving and am only about 10 days behind! Thanksgiving at Nana and Papa's house started off like it always does at Nana and Papa's house - THE PLAYROOM! This is my stuff... I still don't have to share yet - but I am afraid the day is coming soon when A&M will get to play in my playroom too!

A&M are still confined like caged animals... well, Addie - thanks for proving my point... if mom had been any slower with the camera - you would have caught nothing but bloomers and feet in the air.

Matt & Addie are playing nice for the camera! Too bad mom can't ever get them to look away from their stuff long enough to snap a pic!

After dinner - us guys caught a game. The girls were playing in the playroom and cleaning up dinner - man, I sure am glad I'm a boy!

Our cousin Bri got in the cage with Addie. Dad says she needs to stay there until she is 50 years old... something about the boys. Addie thought it was funny for Bri to "rockstar" swing her hair.

Bri has a new phone with a new camera - mom and Bri got silly and took all sorts of weird and funny pics! Girls can be so strange!!!

Then they pulled me into this little thing and made Drew take the pic. I was NOT thrilled... can you tell?
Sheesh - can't a guy get a little privacy? I am heading into the bathroom...

Just me and my little bro. I love this little guy!

Here's Nana with her favorite baby boy. I'm her favorite big kid of course - and Addie - well the favorite baby girl!

Why does it always look like Addie is scheming something up?

Here's our big cousin Drew. He loves to play with Matty & I. He was playing catch with us in the playroom... don't tell anyone we were throwing the ball in the house!

Here mom goes again snapping pictures. Man, my cousin is pretty huh?!? Stay away or I will have to hurt you!

Who needs pie when you can have whipped cream?

Come on Papa -if you sneak it to me - they won't get mad - you're the boss of us all!

Here's my crazy dad! That's why I love him so much!
Hope your Turkey Day was as great as ours! We don't have any pics to post of Thanksgiving with our Gram and Papa... we caught a bad cold and missed out celebrating with them. Well, mom actually got it and was running a fever even. I think her exact words were, "I am so bummed to miss it BUT I hardly have enough energy when I am 100% to wrestle with 3 sick kids in public!" Good thing we had so much time with our cousins before we all got sick! Guess this means we'll have to drive to Texas to see them some more!

Christmas in November!

While our cousins were in town for Thanksgiving - we also got to celebrate Christmas with them! So we got all dressed up and tore into some really cool gifts! Here is Addie all dressed up and smiles in a dress from Auntie Whit. What a ham!

Man, look at this little guy. He looks like a stud in his tie!

And here I am - not too shabby myself! I normally wouldn't go for ties but this one has race cars all over it!

In between the time that mom got us all ready and then loaded in the car - Matt & Addie had a little scrap and looks like Moo Moo lost AGAIN! Poor thing lost the tug of war over a ring and fell - busting his lip open for the second time in one week... Mom was frantic. I thought she had lost it - it was ONLY a busted lip. She was muttering something about his ONLY white shirt and TONS of blood. She scooped him up so fast and held him like superman. Within 10 mins we were loaded in the truck and there was NOT a drop of blood on Moo's shirt. And I thought she was concerned about the little guy...

When we got to Gram's they were all ready to open presents and take some Christmas pics. Here is Libby in her Christmas outfit!

Belle was playing and making a tower of cheese... she would come up to you and ask you, "Would you like some cheese?" I thought it was funny.

"No, that is stinky blue cheese. None for me thank you." Addie is a a bit of a cheese snob.

Just before it was time to get down to business - Gram and Auntie Whit played some carols on the piano... The three of us tried to steal the spotlight but they managed to play around us!

My dad is always Santa and passes out all the gifts - but he wanted me to do it this year. It just didn't feel right - so I passed the hat back.

Here it is - just like it should be.

Addie got a Mittens from the movie BOLT and loved it! She played with it for a half hour straight and if you know Addie - she doesn't sit that still for anything!

Here's Belle in her light up necklace and bracelet!

I thought it was pretty cool but could not figure out how it was lighting up!

Belle, Libby and Addie all got matching tutus... here are the big girls rockin out!

Here are the three girls... that Addie is trying to steal the spotlight - looks like it is in the Egglet blood to be a camera hog!

A nice lady came over to take our pic - and that is NOT an easy thing to capture with all these adults. Man, it is SO hard to get them to look at the camera and smile... we will keep working on them - maybe next year they will cooperate more.

The Egglet Family - You can tell our personalities just from this pic! Dad and Matty Moo are the chill - laid back type. Addie and I are the movers and shakers and mom is the control freak - see her holding me back?

And here are my cousins and my auntie and uncle!

And, here is Belle showing off her creation. She and Gram made this gingerbread house - all covered in yummy frosting and candy... what I would do to get my hands on that! mmmmmmmmm
