Potty Training 101 - 3rd and FINAL Edition

OK... day two of the three day plan and we still have smiles and NO tears... (I really mean that mom isn't crying yet...)

Actually - we all got into this training thing.... I was a little jealous that they didn't have to get dressed AND they get stickers to put on their sticker charts EVERY time they try! So, mom made me my own chart too and I go tin on the action! Not sure if you can tell but Princess Addie has boycotted "girlie" undies and will ONLY wear the boy kind... mom says she's the girliest tom-boy she's ever met!

Pretty soon she ditched the shirt to "wear a tummy" like Matty Moo and I... Mom said on Day 3 - we all have to start wearing clothes again.

Day two went off with only 2 accidents by ONE Egglet... I am not going to rat HIM out... I don't want to embarrass HIM by telling everyone that HE was the only one to have accidents.... Our Gram even came over for a visit in the afternoon and they didn't have ANY accidents while she was here.... On day 3 - mom even broke the rules of the 3 day plan and took up all grocery shopping.... when we got home - she said she was SUPER happy that she never had to ask for "clean-up on isle 5!" I think mom RAN through the store - she didn't want to be gone longer than an hour... and they did it NO ACCIDENTS!

On day mom told them they had to get dressed! Sissy INSISTED on wearing her new Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini that our friend Chellis surprised her with! She was a little modest at first... or maybe she wasn't used to clothes...

But pretty soon she was all about her yellow "kini"... Dad says enjoy them now because pretty soon there will be a NO BIKINI rule that Matty Moo and I are going to enforce!

Day three was a DRY ZONE around here... Mom thinks the Twinkies have it... which means that since I just said that they are gunna have a bad pretty soon! Mom was sure enough that the tarp has even come down! Brave woman huh?

Sissy couldn't stop at the bikini.... she had to add the crown too it too.... when mom said she looked like Princess Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) sissy said...."NOOOOOOO! I Miss Merica" Great - so now she thinks she's gunna be a beauty queen.... I've seen that show Toddlers and Tierras.... and can promise you that is NOT happening!

Potty Training 101 - Second Edition

Yup! You read that right... after a week off AND a new game plan - Mom was ready to tackle BOTH twins in the Potty Training... Mom has a blog "friend" who had quads who did this 3 Day Potty Training Plan... that WORKED with all FOUR of her kiddos in 3 days! Mom was impressed so she checked it out... armed with LOTS of undies, Clorox wipes AND a tarp... she cleared our calendar and made a game plan...

I was pretty excited about this tarp thing... it's not in the "plan" but since the Steece's used it - mom thought it would be PERFECT for our rug... and I pretty sure mom was glad she had it... a couple of times!

Monday morning... DAY ONE... the twinkies were really excited to be in undies that look JUST LIKE MINE.... Day one was a little rough for mom. Matty Moo thinks it's so fun to go potty that he does LOTS of baulking!

Matty Moo was pretty excited but as you can see - he brought out his rat - which he usually only sleeps with... I think he was a little sad about having to grow up!

"Tah Duh" Success AGAIN! Sissy got it really fast... but she did have that day last week where she'd practiced....

At the end of the day - as you can see - the undies had all changed.. we had a total of FOUR accidents the WHOLE day... let's just say if we were keeping score - Matt would have won - by 2... but remember this was his first day EVER! Mom was pretty impressed and ready to head into day two.

Special Mail and Bird Houses...

We all seemed to catch that weird stomach bug on Mother's Day... and since we obey our mom - we totally shared it too! Our Great Nana in NC felt bad that we were all down and out - so she mailed EACH of us our VERY OWN get well card! Mom got one too... and Dad got a "hope you don't get it card" but it was about a day too late...

We ALL got all of our stickers for the week for doing what is right and having happy hearts - so mom took us for a car picnic AND we got to each pick out a bird house to paint! Sissy and I wanted Taco Bell as our treat and Matty Moo wanted McDonald's ... SO... we had Taco Bell tacos AND french fries! We thought it was SOOOOO funny to have BOTH! After we got our food we drove to our favorite spot and watched the Jets take off while we ate.... Then off to get bird houses!

Matty Moo picked out... YUP... a barn! And red paint. Red is his FAVORITE color!

I picked out this really cool rocket bird house... I think it's the coolest bird house in our garden!

And... OF COURSE our resident Princess picked out a castle! She HAD to have the shimmer purple paint because our cousin Kaleigh had the same paint on some new frames in her room!

We had tons of fun painting our bird houses and we even got to stay up late finishing them up!

Matty Moo was trying to stay up even later by "needing" another bath... but Mom has washable paint that comes off with a baby wipe..... Good try Moo!

Potty Time OR Fashion Show... YOU Decide!

Can you tell our mom was gearing up... choosing her battles and getting her game face on? She was ARMED with LOADS of undies, 100's of stickers and a chart...

And Sissy Bug had NO CLUE what was planned for the day! Matty Moo and Sissy have been asking to go potty for weeks... sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Mom realized she's low on diapers and decided today that she didn't want to plunk down another $80 bucks for a month's worth of diapers... which means she has less than a week to get the job done... not once but TWICE!

It started off with the ole "Sit and Wait"... mom didn't even bring in the books and stuff like last time. She thinks then you just have to break a bad and nasty habit of keeping toys out of the dirtiest room in the house... (she's s germaphob - remember)... we'll see how long it lasts! Mom is HARD core. Sit for a few.... get off ... sanitize.... drink a TON.... eat a salty snack... set the timer for 10 mins... repeat, REPEAT, R E P E A T!

Sissy was pretty excited and even wanted to show off the VERY BAD bangs that she gave herself yesterday with safety scissors.... they don't cut paper but work GREAT on hair! Mom tried to even it out some - but you can tell the shortest part is where she cut... mom said if she went up that high she'd forever be called "Dumb and Dumber"... I didn't get that - mom said I wasn't allow to watch that movie yet but someday I would understand.

Yup, looks like Sissy is the first to join my "underpants" club... Matty Moo is jealous - Mom said he gets his chance tomorrow!

Matty tried his hardest to flash those HUGE brown eyes - but mom said ONE at a time and since Sissy is the oldest - she was first!

About round three - with still NO success - Sissy decided that the bunny ears would help out... and this started the fashion show.

No luck again... restart the cycle.... She wanted SO badly to go in and play but mom said NO undies... NO playing!

She's a stubborn TOUGH cookie... and compromised with mom... OR did mom compromise with her... she ditched the shirt for the undies... She said she wanted to wear a tummy like me! (And for the record - I don't go around in my skives.... mom was trying to show Addie that I wear "Big Boys" and DON'T pee in them....)

Round.... hmmmm... maybe 8 at this point with STILL NO PEE! This time she was sporting my snowboarding hat... It has a Mohawk and she thinks she's a lion in it!

Round 10... yup... rain boots... mom only wishes we needed them... STILL NO PEE... in the potty OR on the floor! S T U B O R N! (I think she gets it from mom - but I will NEVER admit I just said that!)

Round 15... and mom said no success this round and she's giving up for the day. That brought a HUGE smile to sissy's face! She was winning the battle... but I have a feeling mom is gunna win the WAR.

Wait a minute... wait a minute... sissy - what did you just hear? Nope... no pee pee - just a poopie... well, that's better than nothing!

And look how proud she is of herself! After 3 and a half hours - I am happy to report NO pee pee accidents BUT NO success in the potty... Mom gave up for the day and put her in a diaper... within minutes... you guessed it... she filled that sucker up! Mom said it wasn't a complete loss... at least we know she knows how to hold it! Matty Moo then BEGGED to try... climbed up and YUP you guessed it.... S U C C E S S! His BIG day is tomorrow... mom is trying to just get one of them to get it and then will conquer the other... I pulled them both aside and just told them to give in and do it mom's way. She can out wait them... I know - been there done that!

And NOW I'm F O U R!

Yup! That's right! I finally turned 4! And, it was the "BEST birthday EVER!"

Mom let me pick out a theme for my little birthday party... of course I chose NASCAR! So we had racing flags and race cars all over the place! Mom also let me pick the treats - which were cake, suckers, m&m's and cheese-it's! Doesn't that sound like the perfect menu? Dad also ran out and got bagels... guess the old people can't handle all that sugar (well, except for our cousin Merry - she can hang with us!)

Check out what my parents rented for my special day! Yup! A bounce castle! The guy we rented it from let us keep it all day AND all night! It was HUGE! I think it would have been super fun to jump onto it from the upstairs balcony.... like that would EVER happen!

Mom was armed with her camera - even when she's chillin with the girls - she's always ready to catch a shot! Next year our cousin Cameron will be here too!!! She's gunna be here before we know it!

Here I go - about to head nt and BOUNCE, BOUNCE, BOUNCE!

Matty Moo wasn't too sure of the whole thing at first - it took a little coaxing and even a little push from behind to get him in the bouncer.... but once he got in - he loved it!

Our Nana wasn't scared... She came in and hung out! Looks like she was caught relaxing with the twins a bit.

Here's our cousin Kaleigh and Matty Moo... those two are inseparable! I heard Kaleigh was so excited for my party that she changed several times before settling on her ballerina top.... she's a diva like my sis! That's Andrew my older cousin in the background... he's a pro at bouncing... Our almost 16 year old cousin Bri even came in!

Yup! Mom got in a ton too... in fact, I think mom was in it just as much as I was! I'm not sure if it was for me or for her!

Dad had the BEST idea of bringing in balls and playing dodge jump! It was awesome... here's Matty Moo saying "YESSSSSSS!" after he tagged sissy! (ahem... well, maybe it was me he tagged but it's my blog and my birthday so we're gunna change up the story some)

This whole thing was right up Addie's sleeve! She is a WILD woman and you all know she has endless energy! Well, I think we've finally found something that wore her out!

Yup! It's dad! After everyone left and all the mess was cleaned up - we all got back in the jumper! We had a blast bouncing and playing ball! Dad is fun to be in here with - when he bounces - it makes us bounce REALLY high!

We all started to get a little tired... so we went back inside for some lunch and so the twins could nap. The babies slept for over 2 hours... Mom let me stay up and play with some of my new birthday toys... after a while though - she and I snuck outside and bounced some more! When the babies woke up - they joined us again until it was time for dinner!

I had LOTS of special phone calls... but it was hard to focus on them with the bouncer! So, I let the queen of phone talking talk some for me... Sissy is ALWAYS up for talking on the phone! She was talking to Julian in this picture... sometimes it's hard to get her to get off!

All this bouncing was making us SUPER tired! We had to take a little break.

Pretty soon mom and dad told us that it was time to go to dinner.... they took me to Toys R Us to pick out my very own scooter and then let me pick where we were going to eat... I picked Red Lobster... actually I don't even like Red Lobster BUT they let us pet the live lobsters - so we love to go there... I fell asleep during dinner! I was sooooo tired from all the jumping... But when we got home - I was wide awake again and YOU GUESSED IT... I was ready to bounce some more. Mom and dad put the twins to bed and the 3 of us went out and jumped until 10PM!

Mom says she can't believe that God sent me to them four years ago! She always gets all sentimental on our birthdays! Must be a mom thing!
